その加盟ラウンジについてなんですが。
ユナイテッド航空「ユナイテッドクラブ」ラウンジが5/15で対象から外れるとのこと。

それで、、、
「プライオリティ・パス」の参加ラウンジは、結構な勢いで増えているんで、絶対数としては問題ないんだけど。
航空会社系のラウンジが消えちゃう、しかも、貴重な成田空港で使えるラウンジが、、、
ということで。
あーーー、と思いまして。
実際にプライオリティパスでサイトで成田のユナイテッドクラブの情報をみてみたら、終了予告が記載されてあった。
Additional Information: Effective 15MAY15 the Lounge will no longer be part of the program.
この前、成田に行ったんだけど、ANAラウンジの方に行っちゃったんですよね。。。
まだユナイテッドクラブの方は行ったことなかったから、そっちに行ってみれば良かった。
それで、、、
ちょっと別の話なんだけど、↑のブログ読んでて、？？？と思った点が。
That means nothing is actually changing regarding the lounge access benefit being offered with a Priority Pass Select membership, which is probably what most of us have.
ユナイテッドクラブがプライオリティパスで使えなくなるけど、元々クレカに付帯する「Priority Pass Select」はユナイテッドクラブを使えないから、実質かんけーないよね。みんな持ってるの「Priority Pass Select」でしょ。
「Priority Pass Select」って何だ？
と思いまして。
プライオリティパス公式サイトのFAQみたら書いてあった。
What is the Priority Pass Select card?
If you live in the U.S. and receive your Priority Pass membership from a U.S. financial institution you may have been issued with a Priority Pass Select membership card.
As a Priority Pass Select cardholder you are entitled to exactly the same benefits as any other Priority Pass member, including access to over 600 airport VIP lounges worldwide, the only difference is that come 1 October 2011 you will no longer be able to access United Club lounges (the new brand for Continental Presidents Club and United Red Carpet Club lounges) worldwide.

つまり、米国のクレジットカードに付帯するプライオリティパスは、ほとんど「Priority Pass Select」というステータス。
「Priority Pass Select」は、通常の「Priority Pass」と基本は同じだが、「ユナイテッドクラブには入れない」という違いだけあるらしい。2011年から。
なるほど。
米国のクレカ付帯のPPは、そうなってるんすね。。。
初めて知った。
※アメックスプラチナ付帯とか、そーゆーのはselectじゃないと思うけど
良く出てくるカードがChaseとかなんだけど、その付帯PPとかはselect。
ということで、米国の人は、ユナイテッドクラブが今までも使えてなかったんですね。
PPでは。
日本のカード付帯のプライオリティパスは、ユナイテッドクラブも対象。
しかも成田にあって、使いやすい。
そーゆー意味では、今回の話はちょっと残念すね。
んー。
